This home needs a LITTLE love, but has so much to its advantage. Located on Johnson Pass Road it is plowed in the winter, but is outside the Lake Tahoe basin and the TRPA jurisdiction. According to the assessor the lot is a 11,326 sq ft. and the house was orignially built in 1952.
A slice of the Tahoe life! After showing our newest listing, a condo in the St. Francis of the Woods complex. I hooked up the dog, put on my skis and took off into the forest. This encompasses what Tahoe-living means to me. We work where we play and the work/play line often blurs.
While we (Trish Hall and I) were out checking on all FOUR of the Forest Service cabins that we currently have listed, we did an impromptu video update on 1040 Echo Summit Road. This is one of the largest FS cabins that I have seen, with two bathrooms (and one of them even has a full bath tub!) and three bedrooms. It is positioned on the ridge of Echo Summit and has some spectacular views. Check out the YouTube video for the full effect, the birds definitely know that it’s Spring. https://youtu.be/jBgOFgNZyNk
The wagon train has been making an annual trek from Zephyr Cove, Nevada to Placerville, California every year, for the last 66 years! To commemorate the 100th anniversary of the “Gold Rush” in 1949, a Wagon Train was formed to travel west from Lake Tahoe to Placerville (Old Hangtown) along Highway 50. This “one time” event was so popular that it resumed in 1951, and has made its annual trek each year since that time. The Wagon Train
